Job summary

The Enabling Division of the Ministry Of Social And Family Development invites an intern to work with real government data in Singapore. You will support data analysis that informs policy decisions and help create clear visualizations to communicate insights.

Ideal candidates are studying or have experience in data analytics, with motivation, strong Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills, and familiarity with Python and Power BI or Tableau.

Job description

What the role is:

Enabling Division coordinates disability policies across government to support persons with disabilities across different life stages. A key part of our work involves using data to understand needs, assess outcomes, and inform policy decisions under the Enabling Masterplan 2030.

What you will be working on:

As an intern, you will get hands‑on experience working with real data from across government, and see how data analysis feeds into real policy discussions and decisions. You will contribute to Enabling Division's efforts to strengthen our data analysis by assisting the team with the following:

• Applying your data analytics skills to answer policy-relevant questions.
• Cleaning, analysing, and interpreting data to identify key trends and insights.
• Creating visualisations (charts or simple dashboards) to communicate findings clearly.

What we are looking for:

Interested candidates should be studying or have experience in data analytics, or have an interest in disability policies and be willing to learn about data analytics. They should also have:

• Self-motivation
• Analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience using a data analytics tool (preferably Python and Power BI or Tableau)
