Job summary

Moody's is seeking a Director- Industry Practice Lead (Insurance Solution) to guide client engagement and solution design from Singapore, covering the Asia Pacific region. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to align Moody’s offerings with complex insurance challenges and deliver thought leadership across markets.

The role requires deep insurance expertise, executive communication skills, and hands-on experience with AI-driven risk solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the insurance, reinsurance, or insurance consulting industry with deep domain expertise across key insurance workflows.
• Strong knowledge of regional and global insurance regulatory frameworks, industry dynamics, and emerging market trends.
• Hands-on experience in property and casualty underwriting, natural catastrophe modeling and applications required.
• Demonstrated understanding of generative artificial intelligence use cases and applications within insurance and reinsurance markets preferred.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executive leadership, board members, and senior client stakeholders.
• Public speaking experience preferred, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
• Strong experience using AI tools to lead transformative initiatives for insurers with familiarity of AI-related risks and governance frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted insurance industry expert, driving client engagement, solution design, thought leadership, and go-to-market execution across the Asia Pacific region.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and executive leaders to strengthen existing client relationships and develop new business opportunities.
• Provide subject matter expertise and support clients in interpreting and applying Moody’s solutions across insurance and reinsurance workflows.
• Lead solution design activities by identifying client needs and aligning Moody’s offerings to address complex business challenges.
• Manage client proposals, proof of concepts, and demonstrations using industry best practices to maximize client value and business impact.
• Design, develop, and execute market outreach and thought leadership initiatives focused on key industry themes, regulatory developments, and emerging risks.
• Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers, Solution Specialists, product teams, and other internal stakeholders to support sales strategy execution and business development efforts.
• Translate emerging market trends, competitive insights, and regulatory requirements into product recommendations and business cases that support future solution development.
• Deliver internal training, coaching, and knowledge-sharing sessions on client use cases, workflows, personas, and industry developments to enhance commercial effectiveness.
