Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Industrial/Manufacturing/Process Engineer to optimize production flows across machining, optics, assembly, and testing.

You will design layouts, staffing models, cycle-time and takt-time analyses to improve efficiency while ensuring sustainable processes. You will develop standard work, train staff, and document procedures, plus assist in qualification activities (FAI/IQ/OQ/PQ).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical/Optical Eng or related field.
• At least 3–6 years in industrial/manufacturing/process engineering in high-mix/low-volume or precision environments.
• Experience in line balancing, capacity planning, time studies, takt-time analysis, and standard work development.
• Experience supporting NPI, product transfers, ramp-up, and equipment/process qualification.
• Proficiency with CAD, production layout tools, Excel, and data/capacity analysis.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.

Responsibilities

• Analyze processes, routings, and capacity to create efficient production.
• Develop layouts, staffing, cycle-time and takt-time models across machining, optics, assembly, testing.
• Create and maintain standard work, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Support equipment qualification, pilot builds, and validation activities (FAI, IQ, OQ, PQ).
• Lead line balancing and capacity optimization during ramp-up to meet targets.
• Lead early-life problem solving and Kaizen to stabilize new or transferred processes.
• Document and execute handover to ensure a qualified, stable production line.
• Provide IE support for cleanroom and non-cleanroom assembly and environmental testing.
• Conduct capacity planning, line balancing, and layout optimization with volume/mix changes.
• Perform time studies and improve standard work, workflow, ergonomics, and material flow.
• Drive improvements in OEE, downtime, cycle time, and yield via A3, 8D, Kaizen.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and CI teams for new product introductions and changes.
• Coordinate with Machining and Optics IE teams on site-wide capacity and cross-training.
