Senior Manufacturing Engineer — Lean & Quality Improvement

Job summary

PerkinElmer in Singapore is seeking a Production/Manufacturing Engineer responsible for improving yield and quality on the product line. You will lead Lean initiatives, automate processes where possible, and design better tools, jigs and fixtures to support mass production and NPI.

You will ensure ISO audits readiness (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001), implement preventive maintenance, maintain accurate BOMs, routings and work instructions, and train technicians.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Science disciplines.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing/production engineering.
• Experience in Lean and Six Sigma.
• Lean 6 sigma, Statistical Process Control and DFM experience.
• Knowledge in product for continuously improve of product quality and performance.
• Knowledge in ISO 13485 and ISO 9001.
• Experience in BOM structure and routing hour etc.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
• Strong drive for results with excellent problem identification, analyzing and solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for product line quality and efficiency to achieve production KPIs.
• Introduce productivity improvement through Lean processes and automation.
• Support/lead CI and Lean initiatives.
• Improve tools /jigs /fixtures design.
• Support ISO9001, ISO13485 and IS14001 audits.
• Implement Preventive maintenance and ensure its effectiveness.
• Conduct RMA/DOA evaluations.
• Create and update WIs and BOMs/routings/work instructions.
• Train production technicians.
• Support mass production of NPI.
• Work with cross functional teams to resolve issues related to production output and yield.
