Job summary

PerkinElmer Scientific (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to drive lean transformation and design production workstations and fixtures across our analytical instruments manufacturing operations.

The role combines industrial engineering methods with hands-on mechanical design of tooling, test hardware, and process documentation. You will lead kaizen events, support NPI, and collaborate across CN/MY/SG networks to improve safety, quality, and capacity.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and CI techniques.
Hands-on CAD experience with production tooling and fixtures.

Responsibilities

Design, specify and deploy assembly/workstations, cells, and lines with layout and ergonomics.
Lead kaizen events and CI projects to reduce cycle time, WIP and defects.
Develop jigs, fixtures and tooling lifecycle from concept to validation and sustaining engineering.
Define and implement testing solutions for sub-assembly and final product test with cross-team collaboration.
Represent manufacturing in NPI reviews (DFM/DFA) and ramp support.
Develop routings, standard times, work instructions, and process documentation.
