Job summary

SPD Singapore is seeking a qualified Social Worker to deliver casework, groupwork and community development programmes. You will supervise junior staff and collaborate with a multidisciplinary SPD team to address service gaps.

Responsibilities include needs assessments, referrals, psycho-emotional support, and reporting with minimal supervision. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work orGraduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Registered Social Worker (RSW) accreditation required.
• 2–3 years of social work experience preferred.
• Analytical, flexible and able to consider multiple perspectives.
• Committed, responsible and a strong team player with good reliability.
• People-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
• Effective report writing skills.
• Able to work in evenings and weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct case work management and assess client/family needs.
• Coordinate service referrals and access to community resources.
• Provide psycho-emotional support to clients and caregivers.
• Lead and participate in community development and outreach activities.
• Supervise junior social workers and social work associates as required.
• Maintain accurate case notes and prepare reports per standards.
• Engage in project/administrative duties and data reporting.
