Job summary

Yong-en Care Centre in Singapore is seeking a Programme Executive to plan, develop and implement dementia support programs for seniors and their caregivers. The role requires compassion, strong organisation, and a background in gerontology, social work, psychology or related field.

You will lead activities, coordinate volunteers, monitor participant progress, and build partnerships with local organisations to enhance dementia care offerings and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Care & Coordination (Community Eldercare).
• 2–3 years in a similar role, preferably with dementia.
• Strong understanding of dementia and care strategies.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with seniors and families.
• BCLS and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement activities that promote cognitive stimulation, physical health, and social engagement.
• Develop monthly calendars covering arts, music, exercise, memory games and events.
• Lead daily activities and provide hands-on support to participants.
• Ensure a safe, supportive environment and address issues promptly.
• Collaborate with volunteers and staff to deliver programs efficiently.
• Maintain records of attendance, progress, and evaluations.
• Assist in budget management and resource allocation.
• Develop partnerships with local organisations to enhance offerings.
• Organise community events and workshops related to dementia care.
