Job summary

Rapsys Technologies Pte Ltd. seeks an ICT Trainer to empower learners with essential digital skills. The role focuses on teaching ICT tools, digital literacy for Pri 1-6, and creating engaging learning experiences in a school setting.

The candidate will work from office in Edgefield Plains, Singapore, with emphasis on collaboration, project management, and hands-on ICT instruction across multimedia software and coding basics.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in teaching computers and related applications in a school setting.
• Preferably experience teaching primary school students.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Diploma in a related field (Polytechnic preferred).
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Apps.
• Familiar with iOS devices and apps (Keynote, Pages, Numbers).
• Knowledge of multimedia apps like Adobe Premiere/Photoshop/Illustrator.
• Basic STEM or coding knowledge (Scratch/Arduino/Micro:bit/Swift).
• Experience in animation, mobile learning, and video capture/editing is a plus.
• Motivated, good project management, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct computer training for students on multimedia applications.
• Develop/train resources aligned to ICT needs for staff and students.
• Train Pri 1-6 students in digital literacy and safe online tool use.
• Assist in ICT-related staff training and club activities; handle AV/IT equipment inventory.
• Support school functions with PA, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and webinars.
• Participate in photography and videography for events; edit as needed.
• Archive and organize the school's media library (photos, videos, documents).
• Assist in website design/maintenance and provide lab-based technical support.
• Assess ICT teaching effectiveness and recommend refinements with HOD/SH ICT.
• Help move mobile carts to classrooms to support teaching and learning.

JD:

• 2 years of experience in teaching the use of computers and its relevant applications in a school environment.
• Preferably with experience teaching primary school students.
• Good command of English (written and oral).
• Polytechnic Diploma holder or its equivalent in a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft MS Office i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in use of Google Apps i.e. Google Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets and Google Sites.
• Preferably with experience in use of iOS devices (e.g. iPad, iMac,MacBook) and iOS apps i.e. Keynote, Pages and Numbers.
• Has knowledge on multimedia applications like Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator and ability to conduct computer training for students and staff.
• Intermediate level of knowledge in STEM or coding e.g. Scratch,Arduino, Micro:bit, Apple SWIFT playground, etc.
• Preferable to have experience in animation, developing mobile learning, basic programming, photography, video filming and editing.
• Personnel should be highly motivated and able to perform good project management.
• Personnel should also be a good team-player with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Scope of Services

• conduct computer training for students on multimedia applications;
• work with the HOD ICT to develop new and review existing training resources/programme to ensure ICT implementation and integration are aligned to school’s needs and interests so that students attain proficiency in school-identified digital competencies and technological skills;
• develop training resources that are required for training sessions of the students and staff;
• train students (Pri 1-6) on digital literacy skills and safe use of online tools;
• assist in ICT-related training for staff, InfoComm Club as well as ICT Student Leaders;assist in handling of inventory of various AV/IT equipment in various school locations (classrooms, hall, parade square, special rooms etc.) to support various school events/needs;
• provide support for school functions, such as set up and manage Public Address (PA) equipment for National Day, Awards Day etc; and Microsoft Teams/Zoom meetings/ webinars;
• support school events in terms of photography & videography, including photo and video editing;
• archive, manage and organise the school's media collection (photos, videos and documents etc);
• support school website design & maintenance;
• provide technical support in Computer Labs, and/or small-group teaching that meets students’ learning needs; and
• assist in providing assessment of students, monitor the effectiveness of ICT related teaching programmes provided and work together with the HOD/SH ICT to recommend refinements to the programme to enhance students’ learning.
• assist Desktop Engineers to move the mobile carts to the classrooms to support teaching and learning if needed.
