Job summary

The National Library Board (NLB) invites applications for a procurement/operations role focusing on library materials. You will manage daily procurement operations, vendor relations and contract compliance to support our library network and regulatory services.

Ideal candidates will have 2 years in acquisition or procurement, strong Excel and data analysis skills, and the ability to work across teams and with vendors to deliver timely outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant experience in acquisition/procurement or operations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong analytical/problem solving and documentation abilities.
• Strong and proactive team player with good networking skills.
• Meticulous and motivated with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QlikSense.
• Familiar with government procurement processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and functions for procurement of physical library materials per policies and contracts.
• Manage and track operational and system-related issues for timely resolution.
• Perform data analysis on performance indicators and trends for procurement and regulatory services.
• Manage contracts on sourcing and supply of library materials with vendors.
• Develop strategic working relationships with vendors.
• Organise quarterly meetings and annual engagement sessions with vendors.
• Prepare reports for vendors' meetings and performance.
• Field inquiries and feedback from vendors and publishers.
• Oversee daily operations of regulatory services.
• Support regular internal and external audits for procurement of library materials.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and participate in cross-functional projects.
