Job summary

HSBC Singapore is seeking a Data Governance Manager to lead the BAU data governance cadence, drive standards adoption, and oversee data initiatives across the region. The role emphasizes risk-aware governance, regulatory alignment, and collaboration with Compliance, IT, and operations.

You will design sustainable governance models, maintain playbooks, and own data quality and MI reporting to ensure audit-ready controls and transparent issue remediation.

Qualifications

• Experience in data governance within banking or financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication.
• Knowledge of Group Data Policy and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Singapore’s BAU data governance cadence and standards.
• Design and embed governance operating models for oversight.
• Maintain governance playbooks and templates for adoption.
• Provide oversight of data initiatives and control implementation.
• Identify data risks and coordinate remediation.
• Align governance controls with risk, regulatory reporting, and information security.
• Own data quality processes and MI/KRI reporting.
