Job summary

DBS Bank Ltd is seeking a senior Data Governance leader for DBS Transformation & Data, Group COO, to shape enterprise-wide governance and risk controls across data life cycles. You will lead a cross-functional team, drive AI-enabled governance initiatives, and partner with risk and technology leadership to ensure compliance and value realization.

The role emphasises ownership, accountability and continuous improvement of data governance standards with a focus on real-time and unstructured data

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, mathematics or data science.
• Subject matter expertise in data governance, data management or risk management.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to influence across teams.
• Experience leading cross-functional data governance initiatives end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Define and oversee enterprise-wide data governance frameworks.
• Expand governance to address agentic AI, real-time and unstructured data.
• Entrench data ownership across units and locations.
• Partner with risk management and technology to execute governance initiatives.
• Drive communication and alignment on governance standards and outcomes.
• Establish playbooks, learning materials and tools for rollout.
• Embed data risk controls to validate governance implementations.
• Lead transformation and scaling of governance with AI and automation.
• Define, monitor and report risk indicators and governance outcomes.
• Lead and develop a team of data governance specialists.
