Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an Onboarding Coordinator to create a smooth onboarding experience for new hires across the Asia-Pacific region. You will coordinate communications with new employees and hiring managers, manage onboarding schedules, and support in-person onboarding activities.

You will work with Workplace, Facilities, IT, and HR teams to ensure regionally relevant readiness, holidays, and logistics are reflected across APAC offices in Singapore, India, Australia, and beyond.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, HR Operations, or a related field.
• Experience managing or coordinating employee onboarding processes.
• Familiarity with visa processes and the ability to understand basic requirements.
• Experience coordinating business travel and related logistics.
• Strong calendar management and coordination skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to independently identify what is required, determine the appropriate process or contact, and follow through to completion.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate APAC onboarding communications, including Day 1 logistics and regionally relevant information.
• Manage APAC onboarding calendar and sessions across time zones with facilitator readiness.
• Maintain onboarding resources, Notion and OpenHouse pages with APAC updates and regional nuances.
• Partner with Workplace and Facilities to support in-person onboarding in SG, India, and Australia.
• Provide facilitator assistance during in-person sessions to ensure consistency across APAC.
