Job summary

Bosch Group is seeking a Research Scientist to join its R&D team in Singapore, contributing to HVAC and sustainable building technologies. You will collaborate with internal units and external partners to advance innovations and commercialize new solutions.

The role requires a PhD in Engineering with HVAC focus, 3–5 years of relevant R&D experience, and strong communication skills to articulate findings to stakeholders. A dynamic, entrepreneurial mindset is valued.

Qualifications

• PhD in Engineering with HVAC focus.
• 3–5 years R&D in thermal systems modeling, simulations, or related analyses.
• Experience evaluating energy management, building tech, and novel re-engineering approaches.
• Strong ability to communicate complex results to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor technology developments and generate innovations for Sustainable Building & HVAC solutions.
• Co-create with internal units to identify research needs and draft proposals.
• Identify local institutions for potential research collaborations and outside-in innovation.
• Maintain alignment with internal customers and portfolio owners; pitch ideas within the Bosch Innovation Framework.
• Drive advanced HVAC research for residential and commercial buildings and address challenges.
• Generate invention reports and support commercialization with internal teams.
