Job summary

talent trader group pte. ltd. is seeking an experienced HSE/WSH Lead to oversee all safety activities for a major LTA project in Singapore.

You will develop and maintain the HSE management system, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct audits and lead investigations to drive safety performance. The role requires 5–8 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of WSH legislation, and proven ability to manage contractors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in safety or related engineering field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of HSE/WSH experience.
• Proven hands-on experience on LTA projects in Singapore.
• Strong knowledge of WSH legislation and risk management.
• Experience managing safety for contractors and subcontractors.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead HSE teams in fast-paced projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all HSE/WSH activities for the LTA project.

• Conduct site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments.

• Monitor contractors and subcontractors for safety compliance.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to resolve safety issues.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks and training sessions.
• Monitor HSE performance, safety KPIs and reporting to management.
• Ensure timely closure of observations and corrective actions.
• Support LTA submissions and safety inspections.
• Promote safety culture and continuous improvement across the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all HSE / WSH activities for the LTA project.
• Develop, implement and maintain the project's HSE management system, policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with MOM WSH regulations, LTA Safety, Health & Environment requirements and project-specific safety standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments.
• Review and monitor Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, Method Statements and Permit-to-Work systems.
• Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project safety requirements.
• Lead incident, accident and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors and subcontractors to resolve safety issues.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, training and safety awareness programmes.
• Monitor HSE performance, safety KPIs and compliance, and provide regular reports to management.
• Ensure timely closure of safety observations, non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Support project safety inspections, audits and relevant LTA submissions.
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across the project.
• Liaise with relevant authorities, consultants, clients and project stakeholders on HSE matters.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, Safety Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant WSH MOM-recognised safety qualifications.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant HSE/WSH experience, preferably in major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Mandatory: Proven hands-on experience working on LTA projects in Singapore.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH legislation, risk management and construction safety requirements.
• Experience managing safety requirements for contractors and subcontractors.
• Strong experience in site safety inspections, risk assessments, incident investigation and safety audits.
• Good understanding of construction activities, including civil, structural, M&E or infrastructure works.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently and lead HSE teams in a fast-paced project environment.
