Job summary

Banen Associates Pte. Ltd. is partnering with a leading A1 Main Contractor delivering major LTA MRT projects across Singapore. They seek an experienced Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) to manage site safety, regulatory compliance and WSH standards across complex MRT works.

You will implement WSH policies, conduct audits, monitor activities and supervise safety for subcontractors while maintaining documentation and reporting in line with Singapore WSH legislation and LTA requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in WSH, Engineering or Construction.
• Registered WSH Officer with Singapore authority.
• Experience in Singapore construction.
• LTA/MRT project experience preferred.
• Main contractor experience advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of WSH regulations and risk management.
• Good communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain WSH policies and project safety requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments.
• Monitor construction activities and subcontractors for WSH compliance.
• Review risk assessments, method statements and safe work procedures.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Identify workplace hazards and implement preventive measures.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses.
• Maintain WSH documentation and statutory reports.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore WSH legislation and LTA requirements.

• Ensure compliance with Singapore WSH legislation and LTA project safety requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma, Degree or professional qualification in Workplace Safety & Health, Engineering, Construction or related discipline.
• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the relevant Singapore authority.
• Strong WSH experience within the Singapore construction industry.
• LTA / MRT project experience strongly preferred.
• Main Contractor experience will be highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of WSH regulations, risk management and construction safety practices.
• Good communication, site coordination and stakeholder management capabilities.
