Job summary

Greensafe International Pte Ltd in Singapore invites applications for a Safety Officer on a LTA project. You will assist the Safety Manager, ensuring compliance with WSH, environmental and project safety requirements, and will coordinate with project teams, contractors and authorities.

The role requires MOM WSHO registration, bizSAFE Level 2 experience, and 4+ years in construction, with strong communication. You will review RA/SWP and support toolbox talks to promote a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM – mandatory.
• Experience in preparing and implementing Risk Management plans (e.g., bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health Act, subsidiary regulations, and LTA safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety Manager in ensuring WSH, environmental, and project safety compliance.
• Carry out safety, health, and environmental activities to ensure site works follow procedures and LTA requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, consultants, and authorities on safety matters.
• Prepare and submit daily safety reports and highlight any safety concerns.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections, record observations, and follow up on corrective actions with the project team and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare reports, and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure all workers wear PPE and follow site safety rules.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with the WSH Act, LTA requirements, and the project's Safety Management System.
• Identify safety training and certification requirements and ensure workers meet the required standards.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and other safety documents.
• Support safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety campaigns to promote a safe working environment.

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Preferably at least 2 years of experience on LTA projects.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
