Job summary

Carlton City Hotel in Singapore seeks an Assistant HR & Training Manager reporting to the Director of HR. This role is an Assistant Head of Department, responsible for day-to-day HR and Training operations.

You will lead talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, and government-funded training programs. You will also manage HRIS, payroll, leave, and benefits while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

• A degree in HR or equivalent.
• ACTA certified or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in HR, hospitality preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Independent and meticulous with attention to detail.
• Experience with Timesoft and eCirtrix HR/Time systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full HR and training operations across the department.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, training, performance, and development.
• Support salary planning, budgeting, and government-funded training initiatives.
• Maintain HRIS, payroll, attendance, and staff records with accuracy.
• Deliver soft-skills training and stand-up sessions for operational staff.
• Assist in audits and compliance with official policies.
