Job summary

Tencent is developing an in-house sourcing hub in Singapore and seeks motivated interns interested in recruiting to deepen their understanding of talent identification and acquisition.

You will work with the hiring team to define requirements, research AI trends, build talent pools, engage candidates, and create HR dashboards using Power BI or Tableau. The role emphasizes cross-cultural collaboration and fast learning in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Currently an undergraduate or master5s degree student in Human Resources or a related field.
• Prior recruitment and/or sourcing experience with exposure to Boolean searches.
• Strong analytical skills, proficiency in gathering and analysing information.
• Ability to adapt to cross-regional and cross-cultural work patterns; teamwork, communication, and fast-learning.
• Require bilingual proficiency as 80% of communications with global and HQ teams are in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with the hiring team to understand requirements and qualifications for sourcing open positions.
• Conducting research on AI trends in HR to identify candidate sources and market trends.
• Building Talent Pools for evergreen positions and maintaining pipelines across platforms.
• Outreach to potential candidates via emails, social media, or calls to gauge interest and inform them about opportunities.
• Build and maintain HR dashboards and reports (headcount, turnover, time-to-fill, DE&I metrics) using Power BI/Tableau.
• Evaluate, test, and maintain AI-powered HR tools to automate tasks and improve reporting.
• Identify opportunities for process automation across HR operations.

In line with this initiative, we are seeking motivated interns who have a keen interest in the field of recruiting and are eager to deepen their understanding of the intricacies involved in talent identification and acquisition.

• Collaborating with the hiring team to understand their specific requirements and qualifications required to source for open positions
• Conducting research and emerging AI trends in HR to understand where potential candidates may be found, best methods to engage with them and market/industry trends
• Building Talent Pools for evergreen positions, keeping and maintaining candidate pipelines across various platforms and groups
• Outreach and engagement with potential candidates through emails, social media, or phone calls to gauge their interest in open positions and to inform them about job opportunities
• Build and maintain HR dashboards & reports (headcount, turnover, time-to-fill, DE&I metrics) using tools like Power BI, Tableau
• Evaluate, test, and maintain the rollout of AI-powered HR tools for automating repetitive tasks, enhancing reporting, and streamlining HR workflows
• Identify opportunities for process automation across HR operations (e.g., report generation, survey analysis, document processing)

Qualifications

• Currently an undergraduate or master’s degree student in Human Resources or or a related field
• Ideally with prior recruitment and/or sourcing experiece with exposure to Boolean searches
• Strong analytical skills, proficiency in gathering and analysing information, and ability to identify problems through the information.
• Ability to adapt to cross-regional and cross-cultural work patterns. Great teamwork spirit, strong communication skills, and fast-learning ability.
• Require bilingual proficiency as 80% of communications with global and HQ teams are conducted in both English and Mandarin.
