Job summary

The Salvation Army in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Human Resource Manager to lead day-to-day HR operations and serve as a strategic partner to managers and staff. You will oversee employee relations, recruitment, performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits administration, policy implementation, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years of progressive HR Generalist experience.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
• Experience in employee relations, compensation & benefits, and performance management.
• Experience in a social service, non-profit, healthcare, education, or related sector is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily HR operations and ensure efficient service delivery.
• Support policy development, implementation and workflow improvements.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Monitor HR metrics and prepare management reports and workforce analytics.
• Support audits and ensure HR records are compliant and up to date.
• Partner with hiring managers on manpower planning and recruitment activities.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Coordinate offers, contracts and onboarding programmes.
• Develop employer branding and talent attraction initiatives.
• Provide guidance on employee relations and discipline matters.
• Support performance management, goal setting and development plans.
• Coordinate learning programmes, budgets and training records.
• Assist in compensation reviews and benefits administration.
