Job summary

The Fullerton Hotel Singapore is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team, assign duties, and ensure cleanliness standards across rooms and public areas in Singapore.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills and previous supervisory experience in hotel rooms division; you will train staff, manage stock, and address guest requests, with a focus on guest satisfaction at our premier hotel.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills; English proficiency required.
• Supervisory experience in hotel rooms division preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Computer literacy is very helpful for daily operations.
• Knowledge of housekeeping operations and standards.
• Excellent human relations skills; able to handle challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.
• Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action.
• Obtains list of rooms/public areas to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.
• Coordinates work activities among departments.
• Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, procedures, and use/maintenance of equipment.
• Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
• Makes recommendations to improve service and efficiency.
• Provide warm and friendly service to the hotel staff and ensure all staff do the same.
• Comply with instructions from guests to meet their expectations.
• Attend to guest complaints and requests.
• Lead by example in hotel grooming standards for self and room attendants.
• Be familiar with Housekeeping policies/procedures, job descriptions and employee handbook.
• Comply with hotel Fire Safety and Security procedures.
• Perform any other duties as requested by hotel management.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and organizational skills; reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
• Previous supervisory experience, preferably in Hotel Rooms Division
• Excellent organizational skills
• Computer literacy very helpful
• Knowledge of the Housekeeping operation
• Excellent human relations skills; able to deal positively with challenging situations
