Job summary

SsangYong Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. Singapore is seeking a Public Relations Officer to manage public and stakeholder relations for a major hospital development project.

The role requires clear, professional communication with the public, authorities and project partners. You will handle day-to-day PR activities, record and follow up on feedback and complaints, coordinate with site teams, and prepare notices and reports for management.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Public Relations or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in public relations, stakeholder management, or community relations.
• Experience in construction projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day public relations and stakeholder communication for the hospital construction project.
• Act as the primary point of contact for residents, businesses, visitors and other members of the public regarding project-related matters.
• Receive, record, investigate and follow up on public feedback, enquiries and complaints.
• Coordinate with the Project Management and Site teams to investigate and resolve public complaints promptly.
• Communicate information on construction activities, traffic arrangements, working hours, noise-generating activities and other site matters to affected stakeholders.
• Prepare and distribute public notices, advisories, letters and other communication materials where required.
• Maintain proper records and databases of public feedback, complaints, responses and follow-up actions.
• Coordinate with relevant government authorities, town councils, community representatives and other external stakeholders on public relations matters.
• Assist in managing stakeholder concerns relating to noise, dust, vibration, traffic, access, working hours and other construction impacts.
• Conduct regular site and surrounding-area inspections to identify potential public-relations issues.
• Coordinate with site teams to ensure appropriate measures are implemented to minimize disturbance to surrounding communities.
• Assist in organizing stakeholder briefings, meetings, site visits and community engagement activities.
• Prepare regular public relations and stakeholder management reports for project management.
• Escalate significant or sensitive public complaints to the Project Director and relevant management personnel.
• Support the project team in maintaining a positive and professional relationship with surrounding stakeholders.
• Assist with emergency or urgent public communications when required.
• Perform other public relations and stakeholder management duties assigned by the Project Management Team.
