Job summary

SsangYong Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee daily construction activities on a major hospital project.

You will work with the Construction Manager, Site Engineers, subcontractors, and workers to ensure safe, efficient work in line with drawings, specs, and schedules. Responsibilities include supervising on-site activities, coordinating manpower, inspecting workmanship, ensuring safety compliance, and recording progress.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of site supervision experience.
• Hospital or healthcare construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of safety requirements on Singapore sites.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at the project site.
• Monitor workers and subcontractors to ensure works follow drawings, specs, and procedures.
• Coordinate manpower deployment and on-site activities across areas.
• Report progress, delays, and issues to Site Engineer or Construction Manager.
• Ensure safe, clash-free sequencing of construction activities.
• Check workmanship and materials for quality compliance.
• Assist in coordinating architectural, structural, M&E, and specialist works.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify defects or non-conforming work.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to rectify issues promptly.
• Maintain site records and attend coordination meetings.
• Coordinate deliveries and ensure materials are stored properly.
• Assist with housekeeping and safe, orderly work areas.
