Job summary

ITCAN PTE. LIMITED is seeking a systems administrator skilled in PSIM and security infrastructure. You will install, test, and implement complex systems, manage changes, perform root cause analysis, and maintain disaster recovery plans.

Strong emphasis on Linux/Windows hardening, SSH, and backup restoration. Responsibilities include troubleshooting PSIM and access control, configuring backend systems, and ensuring robust network maintenance.

Qualifications

• Educational qualification: Nitec/Higher Nitec/ diploma/ degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or IT.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, to liaise with team members, clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and implement systems per specifications and service level requirements.
• Manage system changes using established change request processes and communicate status updates.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and implement service continuity measures, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
• Provide expert technical guidance on systems to customers and project teams.
• Troubleshoot PSIM, CCTV, access control, alarm & intrusion systems, and network infrastructure.
• Backend system configuration and setup: CIS hardening for Windows and Linux Server.
• Configure Linux Server: user accounts with limited privileges (sudoers).
• Configure SSH (sshd_config) and password control (chage/passwd).
• Server restoration with REAR and basic computer/network maintenance.

• - Install, test, and implement systems in accordance with specifications and service level requirements, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
• - Manage systems changes using an established change request process, including assessing the impact, obtaining necessary approvals, and communicating status updates to multiple stakeholders.
• - Conduct root cause analysis for system issues and proactively implement measures to prevent recurrence. Continuously monitor the effectiveness of implemented measures and make adjustments as necessary.
• - Develop and implement comprehensive service continuity measures, including robust backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery plans, to ensure uninterrupted business operations in the event of disruption.
• - Provide expert technical advice and guidance on systems to customers and project teams, assisting them in making informed decisions and resolving complex technical issues.
• - Good to have troubleshooting skills and resolving issues related to PSIM (Physical Security Information System), CCTV surveillance systems, access control, alarm & intrusion systems, and network infrastructure.
• - Must have backend system configuration and setup skill sets & experience as below:- Perform CIS hardening for Windows and Linux Server
• - Perform configuration of Linux Server- User account with limited privilege (sudoers)
• - SSH account (sshd_config)

Qualifications
