Job summary

NCS Group in Singapore is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to install, test, and implement enterprise systems per specifications and SLAs, across Windows and Linux servers.

You will manage changes through a formal change request process, perform root-cause analysis, develop backup/restore and disaster recovery plans, provide technical guidance to customers and project teams, and work with PSIM, CCTV, access control, intrusion systems and network infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in EE / Electronics / IT or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication to liaise with teams and clients.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and implement systems per specifications and SLAs.
• Manage system changes through a formal change request process with approvals and status updates.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures; monitor effectiveness.
• Develop backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery plans to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Provide technical guidance to customers and project teams on systems.
• Troubleshoot PSIM, CCTV, access control, alarm and intrusion systems, and network infrastructure.
• Backend system configuration and setup including CIS hardening for Windows and Linux Server.
• Perform Linux server configuration, user account management (sudo), SSH config, and password control.
• Server restoration with REAR and basic computer and network maintenance.

Job Description

• Install, test, and implement systems in accordance with specifications and service level requirements, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
• Manage systems changes using an established change request process, including assessing the impact, obtaining necessary approvals, and communicating status updates to multiple stakeholders.
• Conduct root cause analysis for system issues and proactively implement measures to prevent recurrence. Continuously monitor the effectiveness of implemented measures and make adjustments as necessary.
• Develop and implement comprehensive service continuity measures, including robust backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery plans, to ensure uninterrupted business operations in the event of disruption.
• Provide expert technical advice and guidance on systems to customers and project teams, assisting them in making informed decisions and resolving complex technical issues.
• Good to have troubleshooting skills and resolving issues related to PSIM (Physical Security Information System), CCTV surveillance systems, access control, alarm & intrusion systems, and network infrastructure.
• Must have backend system configuration and setup skill sets & experience as below:
• Perform CIS hardening for Windows and Linux Server
• Perform configuration of Linux Server
• User account with limited privilege (sudoers)
• SSH account (sshd_config)
• Password control (chage/passwd)
• Server restoration with REAR
• Perform basic computer and network maintenance

Qualifications

• Nitec/Higher Nitec/diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Information Technology (IT) from a recognized institution.
• Communication Skills:
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely
