Job summary

SATS Ltd. is seeking a Lead, Data & AI Governance to drive the enterprise data governance, AI governance, MDM and data quality across the Group.

You will define the strategy, framework and policy architecture, while ensuring compliance and controls across multiple jurisdictions. The role emphasizes leadership in data governance, data protection, and the governance of AI models, with collaboration across Legal, Cybersecurity and business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data/Analytics, Engineering, Law, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualific. is an advantage.
• 8+ years in data management with 5+ years leading Data Governance, Data Quality or MDM programmes in multi-entity or regulated organisations.
• Extensive knowledge of data and AI regulatory, standards and compliance requirements.
• Experience in AI or model governance, model risk management or responsible-AI programmes, incl. generative AI.
• Proven track record standing up or transforming a governance function and operating model.
• Strong understanding of risk management and compliance frameworks and related disciplines.
• Experience in designing and delivering a Master Data Management capability.
• Strong hands-on technical fluency: SQL, Python; data catalogues, data quality frameworks, policy-based access, and Git.

Responsibilities

• Define the Group-wide Data & AI Governance strategy, framework, operating model and multi-year roadmap across four pillars.
• Author and maintain the Group's policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.
• Drive governance maturity through continuous improvement and performance metrics.
• Design governance model: RACI, appoint Data Owners and Data Stewards across units.
• Translate governance topics into clear, business-relevant insights for audiences.
• Set standards for data ownership, data glossary, metadata, classification and dataset certification.
• Mandate data contracts and lineage coverage; embed governance in delivery lifecycle.
• Own data access governance and balance innovation with controls.
• Own the Group data quality policy and per-domain scorecards with remediation reporting.
• Oversee data protection framework and risk mitigations; coordinate audits and inspections.
• Lead Master Data Management capability design and adoption across the organisation.
• Lead regulatory horizon scanning and group-wide risk & control assessments.
• Own governance KPIs, dashboards and reporting for executives; drive culture change across processes.
