Job summary

Salling Search PTE. LTD. is seeking a Handy Broker in Singapore to source cargo and vessels, provide market insights, and grow a book of business in the Handysize dry bulk segment.

You will work closely with senior brokers to meet client needs and contribute to revenue targets. The role requires 2–5 years of hands-on dry bulk shipbroking experience, an established network of shipowners and charterers, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced commercial environment focused on results

Responsibilities

• Source and fix cargo and vessels within the Handysize dry bulk segment to meet client needs
• Build and maintain strong, outcome-driven relationships with shipowners and charterers to secure business opportunities
• Monitor and analyze market developments and freight trends to inform strategic decisions
• Provide actionable freight intelligence and commercial insights to support business growth and decision-making
• Collaborate with senior brokers to enhance team commercial performance and contribute to revenue targets
• Develop and expand a personal book of business through proactive client engagement and market outreach

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience in dry bulk shipbroking with direct exposure to the Handysize segment
• Established network of shipowners and charterers with a solid understanding of freight market dynamics
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced broking environment with a commercial and relationship-driven approach
