Job summary

Village Hotel Sentosa is seeking a friendly Guest Services Assistant to welcome guests, assist with luggage, and coordinate with Front Office to ensure a smooth stay for both in-house and long-stay guests.

You will answer guests' inquiries about hotel facilities, local attractions, dining options, and transportation, while maintaining a neat, professional appearance and a high level of service.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary school education or equivalent; hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Good knowledge of local attractions, transport, and dining options to assist guests effectively.
• Ability to handle luggage and perform standing/walking duties.
• Team player who can coordinate with Front Office and other departments.
• Neat and well-groomed appearance with a service-oriented mindset.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival and departure and assist with luggage.
• Collaborate with Front Office to provide courteous and efficient service to guests.
• Establish rapport with in-house and long-staying guests, offering assistance as needed.
• Respond to guests' requests and inquiries about hotel facilities, services, and local info.
• Liaise with Reception on guests' arrivals and departures.
• Make courtesy calls to guests.
• Stay informed on local events and conferences.
• Manage baggage storage and delivery of parcels to guest rooms.
• Maintain accurate records in the movements log for luggage and parcels.
• Keep lobby, driveway, and luggage storage areas clean and presentable.
• Assist guests with directions and information about events.
• Oversee smooth traffic flow at the hotel driveway.
• Stock promotional materials for daily operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
