Job summary

Morgan McKinley in Singapore is seeking a Deputy Director to lead the Group Insurance function. The role oversees renewal programs, risk assessment, and selecting policies to insulate the group from insurable risks.

You will coordinate with brokers, arrange local and overseas coverages, and support strategic initiatives such as M&A financing by securing appropriate coverages. Candidates should hold a Degree with Certificate of General Insurance and have at least 10 years in non-life corporate

Qualifications

• Degree holder with (minimally) Certificate of General Insurance.
• Minimum 10 years of experience on non-life commercial corporate insurance matters including reviewing of complex P&C, Fin-Lines policy wordings.
• Experience on procuring and arranging overseas insurance policies.
• Knowledge of insurance market practice in SEA countries especially China, Vietnam and Thailand is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Renewal of existing insurance program for the Group including collection of underwriting data for submission (including overseas subsidiaries); obtain competitive premium terms from the insurance advisor to achieve savings, reduced risk gaps and improved coverage.
• Arrange and procure local insurance policies or overseas assets and operations.
• Perform insurance related risk assessments with relevant stakeholders covering risk identification, analysis, evaluate the adequacy of limits and establish recommendations for insurance program changes.
• Support M&A and financing projects and other strategic initiatives by evaluation/securing appropriate coverages.
