Job summary

MSIG Singapore is seeking an experienced underwriter team lead to oversee a group of underwriters in the Property & Casualty line. You will drive quality assurance, optimize processes, and ensure profitability while maintaining strong broker relationships.

The role requires a tertiary qualification with CGI/BCP credentials and 7–9 years in general insurance, including leadership, communications, and portfolio management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7-9 years' experience in general insurance industry.
• Sound knowledge of general insurance (Property & Casualty classes).
• Management Skills and Business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of underwriters.
• Carry out quality assurance checks and assist in training of junior team members.
• Optimize efficiency and effectiveness in work processes within the department.
• Underwrite Property & Casualty Classes of Insurance.
• Build and maintain relationship with brokers.
• Develop and manage Broker Facilities.
• Ensure compliance with credit control policy.
