Job summary

A*STAR RESEARCH ENTITIES in Singapore invites applications for an Assistant Director/Senior Assistant Director to lead grants management across SRIS and A*SRL. You will align pre- and post-award activities, coordinate with funders, and support PIs with budgeting, reporting and compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in grants management, strong communication, and meticulous organizational skills to thrive in a dynamic research setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or Life Sciences, with at least 5 years of relevant grants management experience.
• Experience in both Grantee and Grantor administration, budgeting and financial management is an advantage.
• Quick, meticulous, resourceful, and a creative problem solver with strong analytical skills.
• Uses sound judgment and demonstrates initiative in carrying out duties.
• Highly organized and enjoys grant management, documentation, management reporting and administration.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly to all levels.

Responsibilities

• Work with PIs for pre-award and post-award management of a full suite of Grants from multiple funders.
• Liaise with funders and collaborating institutions on grant-related matters and timelines.
• Support PIs on budgeting and cashflow projections to facilitate grant submissions.
• Disseminate grant-related information to the institute and maintain current grant records.
• Assist in grant administration, reporting, and compliance with grant terms and conditions.
• Monitor project progress and fund utilization, including variations and extensions.
• Prepare internal controls, audits, and regular management reports and presentations.
• Develop SOPs for different grant types and coordinate with Finance on accounts creation.
