Job summary

A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research in Singapore seeks a Senior Associates/ Associates to support the Director of Research and grant administration. The role involves establishing operating systems, preparing guidelines, and ensuring compliance with grant terms, while coordinating with stakeholders and grantors.

You will help disseminate calls, manage submissions, track LOAs and reports, and document key approvals and milestones.

Qualifications

• Diploma qualification with good knowledge of STEM disciplines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, especially in reviewing terms and conditions.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and systems thinking abilities.
• Proactive, resourceful and independent with good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Research (DOR) functions and establish operating systems and processes.
• Assist in creating guidelines for grant management and administration.
• Review Terms & Conditions of grant calls for alignment and compliance.
• Liaise with grantors to ensure smooth grant administration.
• Coordinate inputs from stakeholders to improve grant management operations.
• Summarise critical statistics for management planning and decision making.
• Disseminate grant calls and administer proposal submissions for reviews by expert panels and councils.
• Follow up on LOAs, fund requisitions and progress reports with relevant groups.
• Document approvals, projects and reports and organize RO events and speakers.
