Job summary

TikTok PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a PhD-qualified researcher to join the Promotion Algorithm Team.

You will design and optimize large-scale budget allocation and pricing strategies across billions of users, applying causal inference, uplift modeling, and operations research. You'll work on cutting-edge marketing tech, exploring LLMs and AI agents to improve user conversion and GMV while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-growing tech environment.

Qualifications

• PhD with strong algorithms and data structures foundation.
• Hands-on ML/DL expertise relevant to recommendation/ads/marketing.
• Experience with uplift modeling or causal inference.
• Experience in OR optimization, budgeting or pricing algorithms.
• Experience with large-scale search/recommendation/advertising systems.
• Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, or generative recommendation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Model user demand elasticities and budget allocation to maximize GMV and conversions.
• Develop globally optimal budget allocation and pricing algorithms across large-scale systems.
• Integrate voucher capabilities with recommendation pipelines to optimize traffic and subsidies.
• Research and productionize causal inference and AI technologies to improve conversions and repeat purchases.
