Job summary

TikTok is hiring a PhD-qualified research-minded engineer to join our E-commerce recommender team in Singapore. You will work on billion-level models for commodity recommendations, live-stream and short-video ranking, and scalable data pipelines. Expect rapid experimentation, feature engineering, and deployment of AI/ML models.

You will collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists to push the state-of-the-art while solving real business problems with measurable impact.

Qualifications

• PhD in a related technical discipline with strong research background.
• Proven ability to apply machine learning in real-world systems.
• Experience with large-scale recommender systems or ML pipelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop large-scale E-commerce recommendation algorithms and systems (billion-level).
• Build user interest models from large data and extract features.
• Design/train/evaluate predictive models for CTR/CR and ranking.
• Develop data pipelines, feature engineering, and model optimization.
• Create tools to support ML debugging and deployment in production.
