Job summary

TikTok is seeking a PhD-level researcher to advance deep learning and optimization for global e-commerce logistics. You will develop domain-specific AI models, LLMs, and intelligent agents to diagnose and resolve complex operational issues.

Strong ML theory and practical implementation are essential. Responsibilities include forecasting, pricing and merchant growth optimization, with collaboration across product, data, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• PhD in related technical discipline or soon-to-be PhD.
• Strong proficiency in machine learning and statistics with practical application.
• Proficiency in Python/Java and at least one ML/DL framework (TensorFlow/PyTorch).

Responsibilities

• Develop deep learning and operations research models for supply chain and logistics in global e-commerce.
• Pioneer domain-specific LLMs via CPT, SFT, RL and deploy AI agents for autonomous issue resolution.
• Use big data and DL models to predict ETA and logistics events to improve user experience.
• Apply time series forecasting for demand, inventory and manpower planning; identify key drivers.
• Collaborate with merchant development and pricing strategies to optimize performance.
• Predict traffic/conversion and optimize merchandise growth within cost/profit targets.
