Job summary

Confidential, a growing pharmaceutical organisation, seeks a senior Business Development and Alliance professional to lead strategic transactions, licensing opportunities and long-term partnerships across international markets.

You will own end-to-end processes from opportunity identification, market assessment, and due diligence to deal structuring, negotiation, and alliance management, working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, or related field.
• MBA, CFA or similar advanced qualification would be advantageous.
• 8–10+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, or transaction roles in pharma/biotech.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with ability to assess business models and value creation.
• Experience in regional or international environments and cross-cultural collaboration.
• Ability to operate in a bilingual business environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification, origination and assessment of new BD, licensing and strategic partnership opportunities.
• Own end-to-end transaction process from market assessment to negotiation and execution.
• Develop and maintain a prioritized pipeline of opportunities.
• Coordinate cross-functional due diligence across commercial, regulatory, medical, and legal aspects.
• Lead commercial negotiations and structure key terms and transaction frameworks.
• Mentor junior BD professionals and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
