Job Description
Reporting to a senior regional leader, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing strategic licensing and partnership opportunities throughout Asia Pacific.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage a pipeline of licensing, distribution and portfolio acquisition opportunities across APAC.
- Establish and strengthen relationships with pharmaceutical companies, licensors and strategic partners globally.
- Conduct commercial evaluations including market opportunity assessments, financial modelling and business case development.
- Lead cross-functional due diligence activities involving commercial, regulatory, medical, supply chain, finance and legal stakeholders.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, licensing terms and partnership structures to deliver sustainable business growth.
- Drive transaction execution from opportunity identification through contract finalisation and operational handover.
- Present recommendations and investment proposals to regional leadership and support long-term portfolio strategy planning.
The Successful Applicant
- At least 5+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry, specialising in business development, licensing, portfolio management, commercial strategy or related functions.
- Demonstrated experience managing pharmaceutical partnership or licensing opportunities across multiple stages of the deal lifecycle.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience evaluating market opportunities, financial models, valuation analyses and business cases.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical commercialisation processes, licensing structures, regulatory considerations and product launch requirements.
- Experience working across multiple Asia Pacific markets and engaging with regional or global pharmaceutical partners.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, Economics or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA are advantageous.
