Standard Chartered Bank is seeking a Head of Payments Platforms to lead the core payment engines, including development, modernization and scaling of high-availability, high-throughput payment systems across our global footprint. The role requires steering an engineering division, delivering platform strategy, and ensuring regulatory resilience across domestic and cross-border payments.

Qualifikationen

• Deep expertise in software engineering, distributed systems, and low-latency transaction processing in transaction banking.
• Mastery of high-throughput payment gateways, clearing engine design, message transformation, and ledger integration.
• Proven track record of maintaining high-availability SLAs, payment resilience, and regulatory operational risk controls within strict operational schedules.
• Experience leading engineering organizations of ~80+ headcount in a global bank or high-scale fintech.

Aufgaben

• Lead strategy for the Payments technology roadmap and target-state architecture.
• Drive modernization of payment transaction engines, messaging layers, and orchestration to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Own platform performance, throughput, latency, availability and service quality across critical payment corridors.
• Ensure regulatory resilience with controls around risk, cyber security and disaster recovery.
• Lead governance forums and cross-functional collaboration with Architecture, Engineering and Product teams.
• Mentor and scale a global engineering organization to support the Payments Platform estate.
