Job summary

Standard Chartered seeks a senior leader to own the Payments Technology strategy across multiple regions, including Singapore and India. The role partners with business, product, operations and architecture to deliver scalable, secure payment routing, settlement and rails, while driving real‑time capabilities and ISO 20022 compliance.

Leading a global team of payment engineers and analysts, you will shape delivery across domestic and cross‑border flows, ensure resilience, and advance automation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (computer science, engineering, IT, finance/banking tech)
• Proven track record leading multi‑regional engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of payments ecosystems, standards (ISO 20022) and real‑time settlement concepts

Responsibilities

• Execute the Payments technology strategy for the assigned business and geographic remit.
• Deliver end‑to‑end target‑state capabilities for payment routing, settlement, clearing connectivity and rails.
• Lead engineering delivery of complex domestic and cross‑border payment flows across regions.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise engineering, architecture, security, resilience and operational readiness standards.
• Drive automation, standardisation and reuse of payment patterns while addressing market and client needs.
