Job summary

Element Solutions Inc in Singapore is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support employees and leaders across a global chemical organisation. This role balances operational payroll, employee relations, compliance, and HR operations in a complex matrix environment.

You will partner with HR Centres of Excellence, maintain data integrity in HR systems, and drive initiatives on performance, talent reviews, and engagement while ensuring local laws and APAC considerations are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience.
• Experience supporting payroll administration in multinational settings.
• Experience in a matrixed multinational organisation.
• Knowledge of Singapore employment practices and APAC regulations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for employees and managers on HR policies, payroll, benefits and payroll-related matters.
• Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle: onboarding, probation, transfers, changes and offboarding.
• Coordinate monthly payroll activities with providers or shared services.
• Validate payroll inputs: hires, terminations, salary adjustments, bonuses, allowances, leaves and deductions.
• Support employee enquiries on payroll, compensation, benefits and HR administration.
• Handle employee relations including disciplinary actions, grievances and investigations.
• Ensure compliance with local employment laws, tax and payroll regulations and company policies.
• Support performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, engagement surveys and workforce planning.
• Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to implement global and regional initiatives.
• Maintain accurate employee records and data integrity in HR/payroll systems.
• Produce HR metrics, payroll reports and analytics for decision-making and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR/payroll processes and employee experience.
• Support audits, regulatory reporting and compliance reviews as required.
