Job summary

HSBC Life Singapore is seeking a Specialist Credit Control Reinsurance to manage the assigned portfolio, handle queries, recoveries, and manual journal postings for reinsurance payments, while coordinating with channel partners.

You will support MAS regulatory reporting, run-off and legacy processes, SOA management, and provide timely operations and financial oversight across the GI and FinOps teams, leveraging Power Apps and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent required.
• Experience in credit control or finance/audit.
• Ability to manage multiple channel partners (Brokers, Agencies, FA, Direct).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Office.

Responsibilities

• Account handling: manage queries, recoveries and correspondence for the assigned portfolio.
• Regulatory reporting: prepare MAS debtor ageing reports and provisions.
• Operational support: respond to queries to enable efficient operations and client servicing.
• Stakeholder management: communicate with channel partners and internal departments.
• Payment processing (reinsurance): review payment requests and post journals for FinOps.
• Receipt processing (facultative reinsurance): review receipts and post journals.
• Commission oversight: ensure completeness and accuracy of statements.
• SOA management: generate SOAs for outstanding premiums and claims recoveries.
• Ad hoc requests: handle business/client requests as required.
• Run-off portfolio management: manage facultative reinsurance run-off in Power Apps.
