Job summary

MSIG Asia Pte. Ltd. is seeking a finance professional in Singapore to support reinsurance inward and outward activities, including COI, with reconciliations and journal entries. The role involves month-end closing, IFRS17 journal entries, and SAP/Oracle-based reporting, with collaboration on audits and SOA preparation.

The candidate should understand accounting practices in insurance, work well in a team, and bring strong Excel and ERP experience. This position is office-based in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of accounting practices, preferably insurance industry.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Relevant finance and accounting experience
• Knowledge of Oracle and SAP systems.
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Reinsurance Inward Fac & Outward Fac (including COI).
• Perform reconciliations and follow up with reinsurers.
• Analyse Incoming Funds and process payment transactions.
• Prepare Oracle journal entries.
• Reinsurance Outward Treaty—perform reconciliations and prepare summaries & SOA.
• Manage settlement processes and follow up with Reinsurance Brokers.
• Month-End closing—perform balance sheet reconciliations for Reinsurance accounts and IFRS17 journal entries.
• Extract SAP COI listings and handle survey Fees rebilling.
• Yearly Audit Confirmation—prepare summaries and SOA.
