Job summary

Wilhelmsen Ship Management (WSM) is seeking a proactive Business Development Associate to drive growth in our Newbuilding Supervision team globally. You will identify opportunities, build relationships with shipowners, investors, and yards, and coordinate proposals and tenders with internal teams.

This role blends market intelligence, customer engagement, and commercial execution in a dynamic international setting. Travel internationally is required, and strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Nautical Science.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the newbuilding supervision market.
• Build and maintain relationships with shipowners, investors, leasing companies, shipyards, and other industry stakeholders.
• Participate in customer meetings, presentations, exhibitions, and industry events.
• Conduct regular customer engagement activities to strengthen relationships and identify future opportunities.
• Develop professional networks within shipyards to facilitate effective collaboration between owners and shipyards.
• Prepare and coordinate customer proposals, tenders, presentations, and commercial submissions.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to gather proposal inputs and manage submission timelines.
