Zusammenfassung

WINNING ALLIANCE (S) PTE. LTD. seeks a senior vessel engineering professional to provide technical and regulatory oversight for large logistics ships.

You will guide review of designs, liaise with classification societies, and support the ship management team through construction, commissioning and sea trials. The role requires deep naval architecture and marine engineering knowledge, plus extensive experience across the full lifecycle of newbuilding projects and strong English/Chinese

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Shipping Management, Naval Architecture, Shipbuilding Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in vessel engineering, newbuilding projects, shipyards or technical roles with shipowners.
• Strong theoretical foundation in naval architecture and marine engineering, with knowledge of vessel structures, propulsion, and key equipment.
• Hands-on experience in newbuilding projects across full lifecycle from concept to delivery.
• Good understanding of international conventions, classification society rules, and maritime authorities.
• Experience as a Chief Engineer or equivalent qualifications is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills; ability to distil complex issues into actionable conclusions.
• Strong teamwork and leadership capability; high integrity and professional reputation; Chinese-English liaison.

Aufgaben

• Work closely with the Director of Shipbuilding to provide technical and business support.
• Analyse market demand and operational realities; review newbuilding design proposals from technical and operational perspectives.
• Act as external technical and compliance interface; liaise with classification societies on shipping regulations and vessel design changes; prepare analyses.
• Coordinate with ship management new buildings supervision team through construction, installation, commissioning and sea trials; oversee scheduling and budgeting.
• Coordinate flagstates and classification societies on vessel registration, class entry and surveys for the logistics fleet; ensure timely renewals of certificates.
• Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned.
