Job summary
APPLIED MATERIALS SINGAPORE TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. is seeking a GPS Engineer in Singapore to support new product design, installation readiness, serviceability, and field escalations.
You will collaborate with Supplier Manufacturing, BU, Q&R, and Field teams to drive readiness and learnings into product design. The role covers new product intro, lab builds, field documentation, training, and design reviews. On-site support is required for critical escalations and occasional travel to customer
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
- 2-4 years in hardware, semiconductor capital equipment, robotics/EFEM, or complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Experience with vacuum mainframes, automation, and substrate handling is essential.
Responsibilities
- Participate in / own first product build and test in SGP lab; support beta site tests as required.
- Own beta site test plans and reporting; drive resolution with System and Design Engineering.
- Develop Installation Plans and Technical Manuals; create maintenance procedures and troubleshooting guides.
- Publish Lessons Learned, BKMs, CENs, and ISBs; contribute to FMECA and ensure design actions are captured.
- Resolve lab NCs and field issues with proper documentation and change orders; occasional travel to customer sites.
