Position Summary

As an HR Generalist, you'll play a pivotal role in driving HR excellence by overseeing comprehensive HR operations including benefits administration, workforce planning, and leave management. Working closely with HR Shared Services, you'll manage and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and assist with various HR administrative tasks and ad-hoc operational duties. You will regularly engage with employees and provide assistance to colleagues at the managerial level and below in Singapore regarding employee relations, payroll, and benefits matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing in collaboration with HR shared services, ensuring strict adherence to Singapore legislative standards and timely salary payment in alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Administer the time attendance system to accurately track employee hours.
• Handle leavers' settlements and tax clearance for departing foreign employees, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Ensure HR transactions follow established policies, procedures, and approval flows within prescribed timelines.
• Manage confidential data professionally and in compliance with statutory regulations.
• Manage HR Operations encompassing life cycle activities such as leave and benefits administration, work pass management for foreign colleagues and provide support with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from internal stakeholders, including employees and managers, regarding HR services such as payroll, leave, and benefits.
• Identifty and implement improvements to streamline daily HR operations and monthly payroll operations based on industry best practices and service level standards.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives by simplifying processes, participating in process enhancement projects, and engaging in ad hoc initiatives to enhance efficiency and improve the internal customer experience.
• Prepare HR reports, analytics, and statutory survey submissions as required.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute engagement and wellness initiatives to foster a positive and supportive workplace culture
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by management to support HR operations and organizational goals

What we are looking for

• Diploma or Degree in business management and/or Human Resource Management or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an HR generalist and well-versed in HR operations, including payroll and benefits
• Possess sound working knowledge of local HR legislation and regulations, CPF & IRAS statutory requirements.
• Experience in a plant or manufacturing setting, with a good understanding of its dynamics and challenges, along with handling foreign employees.
• Must be able to handle a high level of confidential information regarding employees with sensitivity.
• A team player with good interpersonal, problem-solving, and process-thinking skills
• Ability to handle multiple and sometimes competing priorities with a positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail
• Meticulous approach to problem-solving and implementation of HR practices
• Able to work within tight timelines while maintaining accuracy in work.
• Prior experience with SAP Success Factors and Prosoft is advantageous.
