Job summary

V-SWIFT PTE. LTD. is seeking a role focused on Student Monitoring & Support, Intervention, and Discipline within a Gear-Up program. The successful candidate will monitor attendance, safety, and engage with students to support well-being while assisting staff with home visits and cessation efforts.

The role also includes administrative duties and ad-hoc tasks to support Gear-Up activities, requiring strong English communication, empathy, and mature judgement in handling student situations.

Qualifications

• Proficient in spoken and written English, with clear communication with students, staff and parents.
• Able to engage students effectively, monitor their well-being, and follow up on interventions and activities.
• Mature, firm, and composed in managing student behaviour and discipline matters.

Responsibilities

• Monitor attendance and latecoming for Gear-Up students.
• Patrol school premises to ensure student safety.
• Identify at-risk students and flag concerns to school staff promptly.
• Support and oversee programmes for at-risk students.
• Accompany staff on home visits to engage students and families.
• Assist in smoking and vaping cessation efforts.
• Assist in day-to-day discipline duties.
• Address student conduct issues in a supportive and constructive manner.
• Maintain records of student interactions and incidents.
• Provide general administrative support for Gear-Up activities.

Student Monitoring & Support

• Monitor attendance and latecoming matters for Gear-Up students
• Patrol school compound and surrounding neighbourhood to ensure student safety
• Identify at‑risk students and flag concerns to school staff promptly

Student Intervention

• Support and oversee programmes for at‑risk students
• Accompany school staff on home visits to engage students and families
• Assist in smoking and vaping cessation efforts

Discipline Support

• Assist in day-to-day discipline duties
• Address student conduct issues in a supportive and constructive manner

Administrative Support

• Maintain records of student interactions and incidents
• Provide general administrative support for Gear-Up activities

Ad-Hoc Duties

• Any other duties as assigned by the School

The Personnel shall minimally meet the following requirements:

• Language & Communication
  • Proficient in spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate clearly with students, staff, and parents
  • Possess good note-taking and documentation skills
• Student Engagement
  • Able to engage students effectively, monitor their well-being, and follow up on relevant interventions and activities
  • Demonstrates empathy and strong interpersonal skills in working with youths

  • Matured, firm, and composed in managing student behaviour and discipline matters
  • Able to exercise sound judgement and remain calm under pressure

Experience :

• At least 4 years of relevant working experience in a secondary school setting, preferably in student management, discipline, or pastoral care roles
