Job summary

The CAP Consulting Group Pte Ltd is seeking an associate in investment, focusing on funds-of-funds, with 1–2 years of related experience in PE/VC or IB. You will collate data, analyse portfolio performance, and prepare memoranda for Investment Committee discussions while developing robust financial models and portfolio analytics.

Ideal candidates have hands-on portfolio management or financial modelling experience, strong Excel skills, and an interest in private equity and venture capital.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in investment (PE/VC/IB) or consulting or internship experience.
• Open to graduates 2025/2026 with relevant IB experience.
• Hands-on portfolio management or modelling analytics required.
• Proficient in Excel for financial modelling.
• Experience with financial modelling (DCF, fund cash flow, scenarios) is preferred.
• Statistical programming or data analytics tools (R or Power BI) a plus.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collate, validate and analyse data on PE/VC fund investments.
• Track portfolio performance and prepare monitoring reports for internal stakeholders.
• Perform financial analysis on new PE/VC fund investments.
• Evaluate direct co-investment opportunities with business fundamentals and projections.
• Prepare investment memoranda and IC materials.
• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate product structures and fund returns.
• Apply modelling techniques and scenario analyses for investment decisions.
• Design and present portfolio analytics on performance, risk and exposure.
• Support product development analyses for new launches, including stress testing and sensitivity analyses.
