Job summary

Our client, a private equity fund manager in Singapore, is seeking a Finance Manager to own the fund and corporate accounting for their Singapore platform. The role reports to the COO/CFO and focuses on in-house fund accounting, financial reporting, valuation support and compliance rather than external administration.

The ideal candidate is audit-trained with hands-on experience across full accounts and fund reporting, plus the ability to manage a small team and engage senior stakeholders

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience with a foundation in external audit.
• Experience in fund accounting, fund administration or sell side finance.
• Hands-on across full set accounts, fund reporting and compliance.
• Experience managing a small team.
• Strong communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain books and records of the funds and management entities, including quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Support valuation work, NAV preparation and investor allocations, working closely with the investment team.
• Manage capital calls, distributions, investor reporting and cash flow forecasting.
• Oversee statutory audits, tax filings and regulatory and compliance submissions, liaising with auditors, tax agents, bankers and corporate secretarial providers.
• Supervise and develop a small finance team, reviewing their work and setting priorities.
• Support budgeting and management reporting.
• Work directly with senior management on finance matters and projects.

Our client is a private equity fund manager looking to hire a Finance Manager to take ownership of fund and corporate accounting for their Singapore platform.

The role reports directly into the COO/CFO. Fund accounting is run entirely in-house, so the scope spans financial reporting, valuation support and compliance rather than oversight of an external administrator. It would suit an audit-trained accountant who has since moved into a hands-on finance role and enjoys breadth over narrow specialisation.

Responsibilities for the Finance Manager:

• Comfortable operating hands-on across full set accounts, fund reporting and compliance matters.
• Experience managing a small team.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders directly.
