Job summary

Amperesand is seeking a software engineering intern to join a startup engineering team building an ERP and manufacturing platform. You’ll work across Go backend and TypeScript/React frontend, shipping features, improving reliability, and introducing AI-enabled capabilities into internal tools.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders who rely on our ERP ecosystem every day in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Go for backend development (coursework, projects, or internship).
• Experience with TypeScript and React, including component-based development.
• Exposure to AI/LLM concepts and hands-on with applied AI tooling.
• Comfort using AI coding tools like Cursor, Claude, or Copilot directly in IDE.
• Understanding of REST APIs and client-server architecture.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and support full-stack features for internal ERP and manufacturing platforms (Go backend, TS/React frontend).
• Design and implement AI-enabled features, such as natural-language search and data extraction from forms and invoices.
• Implement retrieval/embedding pipelines, LLM integrations, prompts, and frontend patterns for AI output.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve velocity and quality.
• Support observability, dashboards, and metrics for system visibility.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and automated testing; enable faster releases.
• Automate workflows using AI agents for testing and deployment tasks.
• Collaborate with backend, frontend, and product teams to define APIs and data contracts.
• Troubleshoot issues raised by users of ERP/manufacturing ecosystem.
• Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Document architecture decisions and processes for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Maintain a customer-oriented, team-first mindset in a fast-paced startup.
