Job summary

Amperesand offers an on-site software engineering internship focused on building and improving a scalable ERP/manufacturing platform. You’ll work on both frontend (TypeScript/React) and backend (Go), and influence AI-enabled features across the stack.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver real production work, while leveraging AI tools like Cursor, Claude, and Copilot to accelerate development in a fast-paced startup setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience using Go for backend development via coursework, projects, or internships.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and React, including component-based development and state management.
• Exposure to AI/LLM concepts and hands-on experience with AI tooling (LLM APIs, retrieval-augmented search, prompting) .
• Comfort with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot) in IDEs to write, review, refactor and test code.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, client-server architecture, and Git workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and support full-stack features for the internal ERP and manufacturing platform (Go backend, TypeScript/React frontend).
• Design and implement AI-enabled features like semantic search, summarization, and data extraction from forms and invoices.
• Implement supporting components: retrieval/embedding pipelines, LLM API integrations, prompts, and clear UI patterns for AI output.
• Use AI-assisted development tools (Cursor/Claude) to boost velocity and code quality.
• Contribute to observability with dashboards, metrics, and instrumentation of services.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to speed releases and reliability.
• Collaborate with backend, frontend, and product teams to define APIs and data contracts.
